We founded Studio Linear in 2011 with a simple but relentless vision: to create the kind of bold, boundary-pushing design we weren’t seeing anywhere else. What started as a one-woman studio—just a laptop, a vision, and a whole lot of hustle—grew into a powerhouse creative agency with a global reputation. We learned a ton, had an absolute blast, and built something truly special—an award-winning, cool af design agency that is female owned and operated.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of studio is Studio Linear?
Studio Linear is a creative branding studio and packaging design studio specializing in brand identity, visual systems, and custom digital experiences. We partner with brands to shape how they look, feel, and communicate — from early-stage strategy through execution across packaging, web, and marketing. Our work is rooted in clarity, craft, and long-term brand thinking.
What does it mean to be a boutique agency?
For us, boutique means intimate, hands-on, and deeply invested. As a small, focused team, every project receives direct attention from the people doing the creative work. There are no layers, no handoffs, and no disengaged process. We’re all-in on the brands we work with, and that closeness allows us to move thoughtfully while staying highly collaborative.
How does a female-led studio differ from others?
As a female-owned, women-led branding agency, Studio Linear operates without ego and with a high level of care and attention to detail. We prioritize listening, collaboration, and respect for our clients and their ideas. Being female-led also gives us a strong perspective on emerging brands, cultural shifts, and trends that are often overlooked. While we are female-owned, our team includes incredibly talented designers and developers of all genders who share a deep passion for thoughtful, well-crafted design.
So… what exactly do you do?
In short, a lot — and we do it well. We provide comprehensive brand strategy, messaging, competitor analysis, visual identity design, full brand systems, custom package design, marketing campaigns, and custom web design and development. Our work often spans packaging, websites, ecommerce, interiors, merchandise, and social strategy. We build brands holistically, not in pieces. And yes — we can also play a mean game of pickleball.
Are you a brand identity design agency or a packaging design studio?
Both. Studio Linear operates as a brand identity design agency and an award-winning packaging design studio, which allows us to create cohesive systems from the ground up. We often develop visual identity design first — logo systems, typography, color, and brand guidelines — and then extend that foundation into custom package design and digital assets. This ensures everything feels unified, intentional, and scalable.
What industries do you work in?
We are highly experienced within regulated and culture-driven industries and primarily operate as a CPG branding agency. Our core focus includes cannabis and psychedelics, but we also work with musicians, chefs, wellness startups, fashion brands, and companies in food and beverage, DTC, and lifestyle spaces. This range allows us to bring fresh perspective while still understanding the unique constraints of each industry.
Do you specialize in cannabis and psychedelic branding?
Yes. Studio Linear has extensive experience as a cannabis branding agency, cannabis packaging design studio, and psychedelic brand design studio. We understand the balance required between creativity, compliance, and storytelling. Our goal is always to help brands stand out visually while respecting regulatory frameworks and long-term brand responsibility.
What makes your packaging design process different?
Our packaging work is strategic first and visual second. As a custom package design studio, we consider production realities, material constraints, shelf impact, and scalability from the start. We design packaging systems — not just individual SKUs — so brands can grow without constantly redesigning. The result is packaging that performs in market and feels intentional at every touchpoint.
How long do projects typically last?
Most projects run between 3–6 months, depending on scope. Ongoing retainers typically last 6 months or longer, and we also offer hourly support once foundational work is complete. We’ll always outline timing clearly before a project begins so expectations are aligned.
What does your process look like?
We work in clearly defined phases to keep projects focused and collaborative. Most engagements follow this structure:

Onboarding & Discovery → Strategy → Conception & Creative → Execute & Launch

Our process is a collaboration between our team, your internal partners (if applicable), and you — the visionary behind the brand. Transparency and communication are central at every step.
How do we get a proposal or quote?
Once you have a sense of direction and budget, the best next step is to book a free discovery call. You can do so by emailing Michelle at inquiries@studiolinear.com. After the call, we’ll create a custom proposal tailored to your goals, scope, and timeline.
What is your typical project investment?
Most Studio Linear projects fall between $15,000 and $125,000, depending on scope and complexity. This range is meant as a general reference. After our discovery call, we’ll provide a detailed, customized proposal and can discuss flexible payment plans if needed.
When can we start?
After onboarding is complete, kickoff calls are typically scheduled about two weeks later. From there, we provide a detailed project timeline so you have a clear guide throughout our working relationship.
