Record Label Branding Overhaul

Studio Linear partnered with Se Lavi Records, a Miami-based hip-hop and rap record label, to develop a distinctive brand identity and digital presence rooted in culture, credibility, and longevity. Drawing from extensive experience in branding in the music industry, the project focused on creating a visual system that could grow with the label while remaining relevant in a fast-moving, artist-driven space.

Se Lavi Records operates at the intersection of music, culture, and lifestyle, supporting both emerging and established talent. The label required branding that felt modern without chasing trends—an identity flexible enough to live across digital platforms, promotional materials, and music releases while maintaining a cohesive point of view.

With a strong background in music branding, record label identity, and music festival design, Studio Linear approached the project with an emphasis on adaptability and cultural resonance. Experience creating branding for record labels such as Saint and Citizen, along with large-scale music and entertainment projects including DJ Khaled’s Hip Hop Cruise Festival and design work for music festivals like KahBang, informed the strategic and visual decisions throughout the process.

The scope of work included brand strategy, creative direction, visual identity development, and mood boards to establish tone and texture. Studio Linear also created brand applications and digital promotional artwork, including magazine-style layouts, alongside a custom website and an animated logo designed to bring movement and storytelling into the brand experience.

The resulting visual language is artist-forward and flexible, designed to perform across album releases, social media, digital campaigns, and live-event environments. Motion, typography, and layout were all considered as tools for engagement and recognition within the music industry.

The goal of the project was to position Se Lavi Records as a forward-thinking, culturally relevant label with a strong and scalable visual identity—one that supports artist recruitment, audience connection, and long-term brand equity within the music and entertainment space.
